Emergency Procedures

1. Emergency Services

Currently, we offer 24-hour services in internal medicine, surgery, obstetrics and gynecology, pediatrics, orthopedics, ophthalmology, otolaryngology, dentistry, and psychiatry.

2. Triage

  • The nurse will evaluate the patient’s condition and measure vital signs, including weight and blood pressure, to identify the appropriate department for care.
  • The order in which doctors see patients is determined by the urgency of their conditions, rather than the sequence in which they registered.

3. Registration at the Counter

Patients with health insurance should register using their ID card and health insurance card. If you forget to bring your health insurance card, you must register and pay as a self-paying patient. Please submit your health insurance card and ID card for a refund within 10 days.

4. Department Registration

  • If further examination is required, the medical staff will arrange it for you.
  • If a consultation with other specialists is necessary, the doctor will contact them to come and see you. Please remain in your original location.

5. Doctor’s Confirmation

After the doctor’s examination, the following outcomes may occur:

  • You may take home medication for management.
  • Your condition is currently unstable.
  • Your condition requires hospitalization for treatment. (For further details, please refer to the notes below.)

6. Payment at the Counter

Possible scenarios at the payment counter include:

  • Self-paying patients or individuals without health insurance.
  • Patients with health insurance are responsible for paying registration fees and partial co-payments.
  • I would like to request a refund.
  • If you do not have cash, you can sign a promissory note. (For details, please refer to the notes below.)

7. Prescription Pickup

Once the payment has been processed, please take the receipt and prescription to the pharmacy to collect your medication. If you have any questions about the medication, you can either ask the pharmacy staff directly or call 04-2396-3786 for further inquiries.

8. Departure

If your condition becomes unstable after returning home, you can call the emergency room at 04-2392-3128, and the patient can be brought back for treatment. If the patient has already passed away upon arrival at the hospital and the doctor cannot confirm the cause of death, a death certificate cannot be issued. Family members should report to the nearest police station, where officers will assist in managing the situation. Based on the autopsy results, a forensic doctor will issue the death certificate.
