Cardiovascular Medical Center
In response to the increasingly complex nature of cardiovascular diseases and to provide high-quality, comprehensive medical services that benefit society, our hospital invested in the establishment of an advanced cardiovascular surgery integration system (Philips Azurion 7B2012) in 2021, in addition to the existing bidirectional flat-panel cardiac catheterization machine (Philips Xper FD1010). Both devices are globally recognized for their exceptional image quality, stability, and durability, offering detailed imaging that facilitates precise cardiac catheter examinations.
With the most advanced medical equipment sourced from both domestic and international suppliers, along with a comprehensive medical technology team, we can significantly reduce the critical time required for treating acute myocardial infarction and minimize treatment waiting periods. This integration enables cardiologists and other medical professionals to perform their tasks in a cohesive environment, thereby enhancing examination efficiency and improving the quality of care. As a result, we can secure the essential time necessary for the diagnosis and treatment of cardiac and vascular patients, ensuring they receive the most appropriate medical care from a team that adheres to international medical standards, ultimately increasing patient satisfaction.
Additionally, our hospital is the only regional teaching hospital in the Taiping area equipped to perform cardiac surgeries, aortic surgeries, and operate ECMO (extracorporeal membrane oxygenation) systems.
Advanced Techniques:
- Minimally Invasive Aortic Endovascular Stent Surgery: This procedure utilizes advanced X-ray fluoroscopy vascular imaging technology to ensure precise placement of stents. Artificial metal-covered aortic stents are delivered via a catheter to treat conditions such as aortic aneurysms, stenosis, dissection, and ruptured injuries. When combined with percutaneous vascular closure devices, the incision size can be reduced to just 1 cm, significantly decreasing postoperative pain.
- Treatment of Deep Vein Thrombosis and Pulmonary Embolism: Utilizing minimally invasive catheter techniques for the management of deep vein thrombosis and thrombolysis of pulmonary embolism, we can implement ultrasound-assisted thrombolysis, catheter-based thrombectomy, and inferior vena cava filter procedures as components of a comprehensive treatment strategy. This approach significantly reduces the mortality rate associated with pulmonary embolism.
- Coronary Artery Bypass Surgery: Not all patients are suitable candidates for catheter-based stent interventions to address coronary artery obstructions. Our cardiac surgery team offers surgical bypass techniques to treat cardiovascular blockages, performed by a highly skilled medical team trained at a renowned medical center.
- Heart Valve Surgery: Valve repair or replacement surgeries can effectively address heart failure issues caused by valve regurgitation or stenosis. Our hospital offers comprehensive assessments and personalized treatment plans for various procedures, including mitral, tricuspid, and aortic valve surgeries, all supported by a highly skilled medical team.
- Lower Limb Artery Bypass Surgery: This procedure utilizes minimally invasive catheters and wires, along with X-ray fluoroscopy vascular imaging equipment, to deliver balloons and stents for the treatment of lower limb artery stenosis and occlusion, as diagnosed by CT angiography. This approach enhances arterial blood circulation. Additionally, it can be combined with minimally invasive techniques for plaque calcification and the application of drug-coated balloons to reduce the risk of restenosis.
- Hemodialysis Fistula Surgery: A highly skilled surgical team performs arteriovenous anastomosis and artificial vascular microsurgery, utilizing advanced X-ray fluoroscopy vascular imaging technology. This approach facilitates a range of minimally invasive procedures, including balloon dilation surgeries for hemodialysis fistulas and aneurysm repair.
- Minimally Invasive Varicose Vein Cosmetic Surgery: In addition to traditional ligation surgeries, we offer a range of innovative minimally invasive treatments for varicose veins. These treatments include laser ablation of the great saphenous vein, radiofrequency ablation, and ultrasound-guided adhesive closure of veins. Additionally, we provide foam sclerotherapy and superficial vascular laser treatment for spider veins, ensuring our patients achieve more aesthetically pleasing results.
