Overview

The Emergency Medicine Department of the Taichung Armed Forces General Hospital

has been designated by the Department of Health as a moderate to severe emergency responsibility hospital in Taiwan. Attending physicians from various specialties, including internal medicine, surgery, orthopedics, pediatrics, dentistry, and mental health, are available to provide comprehensive care. Additionally, the department organizes multiple Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) training courses to develop emergency responders in the Taiping area, achieving a success rate of over 90% in performing cardiac catheterization within 90 minutes for cases of acute coronary syndrome.

The department is equipped with 18 observation beds and an independent emergency room to manage critically ill patients. It features comprehensive diagnostic and treatment equipment, offering a wide range of services, including blood tests, X-ray examinations, CT scans, emergency ultrasounds, flu screenings, COVID-19 screenings, emergency line replacements, wound care, emergency medical care, and inpatient services.
