Division of Ophthalmology
Overview
All undergraduate physicians possess extensive experience in medical centers and have clinical expertise in treating a variety of common ophthalmic diseases. They are dedicated to serving the residents of Greater Taichung and fulfilling their roles as military medical officers by providing public vision education, outpatient diagnosis and treatment, inpatient care, and various eye surgeries, all while safeguarding the vision health of military personnel. The team collaborates effectively, enabling the swift completion of ophthalmic examinations and comprehensive analyses, which reduces waiting times and facilitates timely and thorough treatment. Recently, new medical equipment comparable to that found in major medical centers has been introduced, reflecting a commitment to care, gratitude, professionalism, quality, and efficiency. This advancement aims to enhance medical quality and ensure patient safety for the public.

- The independent outpatient area is a clean, bright, and spacious environment that is welcoming and accessible for individuals with disabilities.
- Digital examination rooms, an optical coherence tomography room, a retinal and ocular ultrasound examination room, a visual field examination room, and a corneal topography examination room.
- Outside the outpatient area is the Taichung City Art and Culture Corridor, which regularly hosts exhibitions of calligraphy, painting, and leather carving. These artistic displays help alleviate the emotional stress of patients seeking medical care.
Future Outlook
The objective is to initiate vision examinations to identify eye abnormalities early in both military personnel and civilians. This initiative seeks to offer timely medical consultations, health education, diagnosis, and treatment to preserve public vision health and ensure the overall combat readiness of national defense.
