Child Developmental Assessment Center
This center provides referrals for cases of suspected developmental delays that have been evaluated by physicians to the Children’s Development Joint Assessment Center.
The assessment center operates by appointment only and does not allow the public to register online independently.
This joint assessment center is only able to evaluate children from birth to under 6 years of age.
How to Register for the Children’s Development Joint Assessment
Children’s Development Joint Assessment outpatient hours are every Monday from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM. Please note that online registration and on-site registration are not available; appointments must be made via Line or phone.
■ For children who have not received a comprehensive assessment:
- If the child has not undergone screening or examination elsewhere, please first visit the pediatric clinic of Dr. Tsai Hsi-Hsiang for children’s screening services. Be sure to bring the child’s health handbook and health insurance card.
- If a child demonstrates a specific and significant developmental delay, they may enroll in the appropriate specialty clinic that addresses their condition:
A. Rehabilitation Department (Dr. Chou Ming-Hsien): gross motor skills, fine motor skills, language delays, and more.
B. Child Psychiatry Department (Dr. Lin Ming-Wei): attention deficit disorders, emotional instability, and other related issues.If school teachers or parents suspect delays in more than two areas, please visit a pediatric clinic for screening services. Be sure to bring the child’s health handbook and health insurance card. - After the physician’s assessment, if:
- There is a singular delay: conduct a comprehensive developmental assessment for a specific discipline or item, and issue a certificate or diagnosis of developmental delay.
- There are several delays: the physician will refer the case to the Children’s Development Joint Assessment Center, and the family will be instructed to contact this center. The center will accept the physician’s referral and schedule an outpatient joint assessment appointment for the family.
■ Children Requiring Re-evaluation (Please make an appointment through our official Line)
- The assessment center operates on an appointment-only basis and does not permit the public to register online independently.
- Individuals who have received a comprehensive report should add our center’s official Line and upload the re-evaluation date from the report to assist us in scheduling an appointment.
