Taichung Armed Forces General Hospital

In response to the typhoon disaster in Hualien, our hospital dispatched a medical support team to assist local healthcare services.

On the morning of October 15, the team departed for Guangfu Station in Hualien to establish a first-aid station and begin relief operations.

Prior to deployment, on October 14, Hospital Superintendent Major General Shih, Yu-Lung conducted a pre-mission briefing and offered words of encouragement to the team.

The medical support team, led by Dr. Li-Chiang Sung of the Department of Internal Medicine, consisted of professionals from the Family Medicine Department, Pharmacy Department, Nursing, Administration, and Logistics/Drivers. Together, they provided healthcare services and logistical medical support to local residents, military personnel and the “Shovel Heroes” working on post-disaster reconstruction.

With professionalism and compassion, we bring warmth and care to the disaster-stricken area, hoping that the people of Guangfu, Hualien, will soon return to a life of safety and good health.
