Taichung Armed Forces General Hospital

Taichung Armed Forces General Hospital recently held its June 2025 Monthly Meeting and Promotion Commendation Ceremony, with Superintendent Major General Shih Yulong presiding over the event and personally conferring ranks to the promoted personnel. The ceremony was conducted in a solemn and respectful atmosphere, highlighting both recognition and encouragement.

In his remarks, Superintendent Shih stated:

“Honor is not the endpoint, but the starting point of responsibility. Each promotion signifies not only the accumulation of tireless efforts but also the acceptance of greater duties. Our continuous progress in the fields of healthcare, education, and research is evident from our SCI journal publications, recognition of outstanding medical staff, and departmental achievements—such as the awards won by the Pharmacy Department, Ward 6 and the Intensive Care Unit. These are not individual successes, but collective accomplishments that belong to all of us.”

With the upcoming opening of the hospital’s new medical building, Superintendent Shih emphasized the need for heightened standards and rigorous preparations. He called upon all staff members to unite, stay committed, and move forward steadily. In light of the summer season, he also reminded everyone to prioritize water safety, strictly observe military discipline and confidentiality regulations, and safeguard both personal and collective health and honor. He concluded by expressing sincere gratitude to all personnel, whose dedication reinforces the hospital’s strength, credibility and reliability.
