Senior Executives Participate in Green Leadership Summit to Jointly Build Sustainable and Resilient Healthcare Taiwan Armed Forces Taichung General Hospital Drives Sustainability through Leadership and Responds to Climate Challenges with Action.

Our hospital continuously integrates sustainable development into healthcare governance and actively cultivates medical leadership talent with a forward-looking vision.

Recently, Colonel Wu Pi-Yu, Director of the Medical Planning and Management Office, represented the hospital to participate in the Green Leadership Conclave, jointly organized by Health Care Without Harm Southeast Asia (HCWH SEA) and its partners. The event brought together sustainable healthcare leaders from 20 hospitals across Taiwan to collectively explore how to build a more resilient healthcare system aligned with net-zero transformation goals.

The two-day exchange focused on governance strategies under climate change, carbon reduction actions, green hospital development, sustainable leadership, and cross-hospital collaboration. Through sharing international experiences and practical exchanges, the event deepened hospital managers’ capabilities in promoting sustainable development and established a collaborative partner network.

In recent years, the Taichung Armed Forces General Hospital has been actively promoting sustainable development within the hospital, including: – Publishing a weekly ESG report to continuously promote a culture of sustainability; – Establishing leaf capsules and ecological gardens to enhance biodiversity on the hospital campus; – Promoting the reduction of medical waste and the recycling and reuse of resources; – Continuously strengthening climate resilience, smart governance, and green healthcare initiatives.
