Promoting a Healthy Taiwan and Medical Sustainability – Gathering at the“Hospital Directors’ Sustainability Forum”
Date:2025-04-21Recently, Major General Shih, Yu-Long, Director of our hospital, was invited to attend the “Hospital Directors’ Sustainability Forum” organized by Taichung Veterans General Hospital. The event was initiated by the Taiwan Climate and Health Alliance and brought together leaders from 50 medical institutions and nearly 200 experts.
The forum echoed President Lai, Ching-Te’s “Healthy Taiwan” policy. National Policy Advisor Chen, Chih-Hung explained the core strategies of the “Healthy Taiwan Deep Cultivation Program,” which focuses on:

▶︎ Planning diverse talent training
▶︎ Introducing smart medical technologies
▶︎ Promoting socially responsible and sustainable healthcare
The program emphasizes medical collaboration, system optimization and sustainable healthcare advancement.
Since March last year, our hospital has committed to implementing ESG practices. As a military hospital dedicated to safeguarding both military and civilian health, we continue to tackle the severe challenges of climate change. We are actively promoting environmental protection, social welfare and hospital governance to support sustainable development. Our goal is to provide high-quality services to all stakeholders, strengthen our core values of sustainability and work toward achieving net-zero carbon emissions by 2050.
