Taichung Armed Forces General Hospital

On August 13, Colonel Tsai, Shih-Hung, Deputy Superintendent, together with Dr. Liu, Min-Yueh, Director of the Department of Radiation Oncology, Dr. Yu, Wen-Chen, Deputy Director of the Cancer Center, and Nurse Huang, Yu-Chuan from the Health Examination Center High-Risk Screening Team, attended the “2025 Cancer Prevention and Control Outstanding Medical Institution Award Ceremony” organized by the Health Promotion Administration (HPA), Ministry of Health and Welfare. The event was hosted by HPA Director-General Shen, Ching-Fen.

Our hospital and Zhongqing Branch have been committed to promoting the HPA’s “Five Major Cancer Screening Programs,” with particularly outstanding achievements in lung cancer screening. The screening rates for heavy smokers reached 99.29% and 97.22%, earning us the titles of “Lung Cancer Screening Efficiency Champion – Regional Hospital Group 2, First Place” and “Lung Cancer Screening Efficiency Champion – Local Hospital Group 1, First Place.”

This honor belongs to the tireless efforts of our entire medical team, as well as the trust and cooperation of the public. Because of your participation, we are able to achieve early detection and early treatment, giving patients more time and hope.

Looking ahead, our hospital will continue to uphold the spirit of compassion and professionalism, safeguarding the health of both military personnel and civilians in Central Taiwan, and striving for excellence in cancer prevention and treatment.
