Taichung Armed Forces General Hospital

After days of dedicated effort and support, our hospital’s medical relief mission in Hualien successfully concluded today (22nd).

Superintendent Major General Shih, Yu-Lung personally visited the site to present consolation funds on behalf of the Director General of the Medical Affairs Bureau to the participating military units, including our hospital, the Taoyuan Armed Forces General Hospital, the Hualien Armed Forces General Hospital, and the Army 2nd Regional Support Command Medical Company. He expressed sincere gratitude to all service members and medical staff for their unwavering commitment under challenging conditions, providing timely medical assistance to both military personnel and local residents in the disaster-affected areas.

Even as the mission drew to a close, local residents continued to arrive for wound dressing and medical care. Our hospital’s medical team maintained their professionalism and compassion until the very end. At 3:15 p.m., the disaster relief medical team boarded the train back to Taichung, marking the conclusion of this meaningful and unforgettable mission.

We extend our heartfelt appreciation to the resilient and warm people of Hualien, and to the tireless dedication of our armed forces. May the path of post-disaster recovery be safe and smooth, and may the people of Hualien soon return to health and peace.
