Taichung Armed Forces General Hospital

On April 1, we gathered together with great gratitude and joy to celebrate “Set sail for 79, the wonderful will last forever” the 79th anniversary of Taichung Armed Forces General Hospital. The activity was presided over by the hospital’s director, General Shih, Yu-Long.

Theactivitywas kicked off with a “Review video” carefully produced by the teaching and research office. After that, hospital’s director, General Shih said “On this memorable day, I am honored to represent the hospital to express my most sincere welcome and gratitude to the leaders and guests at all levels who have long cared about and supported the development of our hospital, and to pay the highest respect to all colleagues who have worked hard and dedicatedly.

Our hospital has been established for 45 years since 69. Thanks to the hard work of successive hospital’s directors and all our colleagues, the result of our work and the quality of our medical services have continued to improve. I would like to review our various implementation policies in the past:

1.Promoting sustainable management: We focus on environmental protection, social inclusion, and hospital governance, and work on all aspects. We also strengthen our colleagues’ sustainable development concepts and build awareness of net zero carbon emissions through the “Central Region Medical ESG Seminar”and “Consensus Camp Activities”.

2.Deepen community services: In addition to continuing to cooperate with health centers in various districts of Taichung City to provide health examinations for adults and the elderly and screening services for the four major cancers, we also provide health education services, establish correct health knowledge and go deep into various community care centers to provide various health education courses and other health promotion services.

3.Strengthening medical quality: Our hospital team has been awarded the SNQ national quality mark certification for many consecutive years. We will uphold the spirit of unremitting efforts, continue to improve technical standards and medical services become the guardian of people’s health.

4.Continue to build a new medical building: After the new medical building is put into use, it will be based on the concept of holistic medical care, combined with green buildings and smart building structures, improve the configuration of medical workspaces, drive high-end medical equipment, professional medical manpower and medical technology, and build a solid all-round medical service. Adhering to the spirit of “team, professionalism, empathy, and innovation”, we will work together to develop towards the goal of “severe emergency responsibility hospital”, aiming to provide more advanced medical services, continue to contribute to the health of the villagers, and become the preferred hospital for the military and civilians in the central region.

At the end, the hospital’s director, General Shih once again thanked all the attending officers, distinguished guests.Also,he thanked all colleagues for their efforts and dedication. We look forward to working together in the future to create a more glorious Taichung Armed Forces General Hospital. In every step of the activity, we invited former hospital’s director Guo, Wu-Sian, Chen,Ying-Kai, Taichung City Council member Cai, Yao-Jie, former council member Li, Li-Hua, director Liao,Chiung-Hsun of the Ho,Hsin-Chun Committee Service Office, Ye, Jian-Zhi, director of Hsinchu Armed Force Hospital and the leaders of our hospital to cut the cake together.Wish the Taichung Armed Forces General Hospital a happy 79th anniversary. In addition, with the applause and blessings of the distinguished officers, the unveiling ceremony of the “Blood Purification Center” of our hospital was a complete success and officially opened.”

Finally, the tour of the new building is activity’s perfect ending and the beginning of the next chapter. Let’s look forward to the dedication of the new building~
