To continuously enhance the quality of medical services in central Taiwan, our hospital recently organized a delegation led by Director Wang, Shou-Cheng of the Dept. of Medical Affairs to visit **Kaohsiung Armed Forces General Hospital**, a national benchmark in hyperbaric oxygen therapy, for professional observation and exchange. The delegation was warmly received by Superintendent Du, Min-Yu and guided by Director Li, Yen-Ju of the Dept. of Medical Affairs for an in-depth professional visit.

■ **Professional Focus → Synergy Between Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy and Burn Care**

This exchange centered on the integrated benefits of hyperbaric oxygen therapy and burn care. HBOT plays a critical role in enhancing tissue oxygenation, controlling infection, and promoting granulation tissue formation, thereby significantly improving wound healing outcomes.

■ **Strategic Development**

In preparation for the establishment of a dedicated Burn Unit, our team gained firsthand insight into Kaohsiung Armed Forces General Hospital’s mature model of integrating HBOT with severe burn management, laying a strong professional foundation for future development.

■ **Building on Existing Strengths**

Our hospital already maintains stable HBOT service capacity and has achieved notable outcomes in post-stroke neurological recovery. With the future addition of a Burn Unit, we aim to provide more comprehensive care for critically ill and emergency patients.

■ **Forward-Looking Preparation**

Chung-Ching Branch is also actively preparing to establish a Hyperbaric Oxygen Center. Equipment procurement is currently underway. Through observing the facilities and operational processes at the Kaohsiung Diving Medicine Center, we are refining system planning in advance to ensure optimal treatment safety and quality.

Beyond clinical exchanges, the delegation also visited the Health Management Center and Information Management Division to discuss high-value self-paid health examination services and HIS integration. By learning from successful models in southern Taiwan, we aim to optimize workflow and enhance service experience.

Through cross-regional collaboration among Armed Forces hospitals, our institution continues to evolve—strengthening high-quality medical capacity in central Taiwan and safeguarding the health of both military personnel and civilians.
