Superintendent’s Remark

The National Taichung General Hospital is a regional teaching hospital under the Ministry of National Defense. It’s responsible for both military and medical affairs.

Under the outstanding leadership of successive deans, the hospital has established home care centers, various high-quality medical treatment and testing centers. Through the two major evaluations of the Ministry of Health and Welfare of the Executive Yuan, “the Moderate Emergency Responsibility Hospital” and “Teaching Hospital”, a series of results in improving medical quality provide the most direct and practical guarantee of excellence for the military and civilians in the central region.

I was appointed as the Hospital director on August 1st, 2014. Apart from feeling honored, it was also the beginning of taking on responsibilities. In the recent, under the guidance of the Defense’s Bureau of Military Medicine Dep., we have been planning for the construction of a smart military medical building which will strengthen emergency and critical care, comprehensive cancer treatment, and provide holistic care services. Continue to expand the hospital’s medical care in a brand-new way through the introduction of a smart hospital. In addition, so as to promote the sustainable development of Taiwan’s society, implement the 2050 net-zero carbon emission target, and commit to E.S.G. (Environmental, Social, Governance), we will be able to respond more effectively to the challenges of climate change in their operation and management.

Thanks to the Military Medical Bureau under the Ministry of Defense give us the full support over the years. We have been provided with the most adequate resources which is well-equipped with medical facilities. I would also like to thank all people for their trust and support. Yu-Lung will continue to uphold the core values “Teamwork”, “Professionalism”, “Empathy”, “Innovation” and strive to create a new chapter in medical services in the central region. Protect the physically and mentally health of our fellow soldiers, their families, and the people in the central region.
