Superintendent’s Remark

With the appointment from the commanding officer, I humbly assume the position of Director General of Taichung Armed Forces General Hospital from August 1, 2020. While I feel honored, it is also the beginning of shouldering responsibilities.

As a regional teaching hospital affiliated with the Ministry of National Defense, we have dual missions of military and medical care. Under the planning of the previous directors, we have established various centers, including Image-Guided Radiation Therapy (IGRT) Center, Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy Center, Toxic Substance testing Center, a Water Quality testing Center, Home Care Center, and Long-Term Care B-Grade Composite Service Center. These achievements in improving medical quality have been recognized through evaluations by the Ministry of Health and Welfare, certification as a Mid-Level Emergency Medical Care Hospital, and certification as a Teaching Hospital. They represent our direct and practical guarantee for providing high-quality medical care for both military personnel and civilians in central Taiwan.

In the future, we will introduce advanced medical equipment such as 512-Slice Computed Tomography (CT), 1.5T Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI), and a Hybrid Operating Room. Moreover, we will begin the construction of a smart military medical building, which will enhance air medical evacuation, treatment of critically ill patients, and comprehensive cancer treatment. By adopting a Smart Hospital concept, we will continue to expand precision medicine and uphold our core values of empathy, teamwork, expertise, and innovation, becoming the guardian of military and civilian health management in central Taiwan.

I would like to express my gratitude to all who care about our hospital, and please continue to encourage and guide us. Taichung Armed Forces General Hospital will do its utmost to safeguard everyone’s health.
