CECC updates eligibility for first dose of BNT vaccine and for second dose of AZ vaccine in 11th round of bookings on COVID-19 Vaccination Registration and Reservation system

On October 8, the Central Epidemic Command Center (CECC) pointed out that to ensure effective use of vaccines, it has updated eligibility for the first dose of the Pfizer-BioNTech (BNT) vaccine and for the second dose of the AstraZeneca (AZ) in the 11th round of registration on the COVID-19 Vaccination Registration and Reservation system (https://1922.gov.tw/; “the System”). Details are listed below.

A. First dose of the BNT vaccine
a. Eligibility to schedule appointments: individuals who registered for a BNT shot before 12 p.m. on October 6 and meet any of the following criteria:
1. People aged 45 and older (born on December 31, 1976, or earlier);
2. People aged 12-22 (born between January 1, 1999 and October 15, 2009, inclusive) 3. Individuals aged 18 and older in the ninth priority group (born on December 31, 2003, or earlier).
b. Scheduling appointments: from 10 a.m. on October 11 to 12 p.m. on October 13 (a text message will be sent starting 2 p.m. on October 10).
c. Vaccination: from October 15 to October 21.

B. Second dose of the AZ vaccine
a. Eligibility to schedule appointments: the following individuals do not need to register their willingness on the System again if they have done so.
1. Individuals aged 18 and older (born on October 15, 2003, or earlier) who received their first dose of the AZ vaccine before July 22 (inclusive);
2. Individuals aged 54 and older (born on December 31, 1967, or earlier) who received their first dose of the AZ vaccine before July 30 (inclusive).
b. Scheduling appointments: from 10 a.m. on October 12 to 12 p.m. on October 13 (a text message will be sent starting 2 p.m. on October 11).
c. Vaccination: from October 15 to October 21.
