Chest surgical department treats patients with operation for all surgical pulmonary diseases including VATS operation for lung cancer, esophageal cancer, mediastinal tumor, pneumothorax, thoracic empyema, port-a device insertion, tracheostomy, thoracic trauma operation, chest wall deformity operation (NUSS), rib fixation operation and surgical ICU care business.

In recent ten years, we change our operation from traditional open thoracotomy with big incision to minimally invasive operation (VATS) for more than 98% patients due to the evolution of the surgical technique and instrument. We also invite experts here to demonstrate single port VATS operation and non-intubation VATS operation, this new techniques bring good patients recovery.

In recent 5 years, we start to develop the new rib fixation surgery for chest trauma patients and accumulate more than 300 cases operation experience, it great improves the outcome of chest wall trauma patients .
