::: Division of Gastroenterology
Division of Gastroenterlogy is under the department of internal medicine and is responsible for the diagnosis and treatment of hepatobiliary and gastroenterological diseases.
The Division of Gastroenterlogy was established in 1980 after the hospital was relocated to Taiping District. For many years，making continuous efforts base on the current achievements，we have made great advances，including upper GI endoscopy，colonfibroscopy，endoscopic therapies for gastroesophageal varices，GI bleeding，polypectomy，general ultrasound，and ultrasound-guide liver biopsy，radiofrequency ablation and endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography. Our Division earns a good reputation in middle Taiwan.
The training protocol of residents of Division is aimed to help them to diagnose and treat different gastroenterological diseases. We hold case-presentation in the morning meetings，literature or journal reading，mortality conference discussion，endoscopy & imaging reading study seminars and combined meetings with General Surgery，Radiology and Pathology.
In the future，based on all staff’s endeavors，improving the quality of service in clinical medicine，making a breakthrough in technology， devoting to training and medical research are required in order to serve more patients and provide better quality of healthy lives.
