2001

Established “International Spine Center” and “Community Medical Service Team”.

2002

The “Outpatient Department” provides good medical services to patients.
“Feng Garden” was built to provide a well resting place for officers, soldiers, and patients.

2003

Gas renovation projects for operating rooms, repair projects for hospital-wide air supply equipment, construction of a new waiting area building, and completion of the SARS ward in the Zhongqing Branch.
Establish “SARS dedicated hospital”.

2004

We were honored with the Bronze Apricot Award in the “First Selection of Healthy Hospitals” in Taichung County, as well as the Gold Award in “Smoking Hazards Awareness”, the Gold Award in “Smoke-Free Homes”, and the Outstanding Team Award in the “Taichung County Volunteer Team”.
We established the “ChengKungLing Clinic” to provide more comprehensive services for military personnel.

2005

We passed the new hospital accreditation.
We established the “Community Medicine Department”.
We fully implemented the Picture Archiving and Communication System (PACS).

2006

We established the “Medical Quality Promotion Center” and the “Teaching and Research Center”.
We were awarded first place in the “Central Region Disaster Medical Rescue Responsibility Hospital Disaster Drill” by the Department of Health of the Executive Yuan.

2007

We established the “Inpatient Service Center” to provide more comprehensive services for hospitalized patients.

2008

We achieved the designation of an excellent hospital through the new hospital accreditation.
The Zhongqing Branch passed the new hospital accreditation.

2009

We expanded the outpatient waiting area at the main hospital.
We were awarded the Excellent Award for “Radiation Safety and Exposure Quality Assurance Operations Inspection for Medical Institutions” by the Atomic Energy Council of the Executive Yuan.
We were recognized as an excellent hospital for the “National Betel Nut-Free Hospital Campaign” by the National Health Agency of the Ministry of Health and Welfare.
We passed the new hospital accreditation.

2010

Awarded third place in the “Community Smoking Cessation Service” of Taichung County Health Bureau.
Awarded the “Outstanding Medical Institution in Mother-Infant Health Certification” special prize by the National Health Bureau of the Ministry of Health and Welfare.
Awarded the “Outstanding Contribution Award for Central Region Disaster Response Hospital Drill” by the Ministry of Health and Welfare.
Completed the construction of the “Mechanical and electrical comprehensive computer room” and the renovation of the water, electricity, air conditioning, and fire protection pipelines in the medical building.
Dr. Chin-hu Lai of the Department of Cardiovascular Surgery completed the first “off-pump coronary artery bypass surgery” in the Taiping area.
Awarded the “Excellent Award for Radiation Safety and Exposure Quality Assurance Operations Inspection of Medical Institutions” by the Atomic Energy Council of the Executive Yuan.

2011

The Zhongqing Branch passed the new hospital accreditation.
The Taichung City Health Bureau awarded our hospital the “Certificate of Qualification for Nursing Homes and Home Care Supervision Examination” and the “Certificate of Cooperation in Promoting the Government’s 10-year Long-term Plan and Assisting in Related Education and Training”.
The Zhongqing Branch was recognized as a high-quality hospital in the “Hand Hygiene Certification Program for 2010-2011” organized by the Centers for Disease Control of the Ministry of Health and Welfare.
Completed the renovation of the “Cardiac Catheterization room”.
Designated as a “Moderate Level Emergency Response Hospital” by the Ministry of Health and Welfare.

2012

Establish “Art Promotion Corridor”, “Music Square” in the outpatient department, and an outdoor “Music Fountain”.
Completed the expansion of the “Mental Health Center and Social Work office”.
Awarded the Group Award for “Promoting Safe and Disaster-free Working Hours” by the Executive Yuan Occupational Safety and Health Council.
Passed the new hospital accreditation and awarded as an “Excellent Hospital”.
Passed the new hospital accreditation and awarded as a “Quali Hospital”.
Awarded the Group Award for “Epidemic Prevention Official Service” by the Executive Yuan Department of Health.

The Nursing Home was awarded “Excellent” by the Department of Health, Executive Yuan.
Received first place in the 2012 evaluation of “Military Law Education and Crime Prevention” by the Legal Affairs Department of the Ministry of National Defense.
The Central Region Emergency Medical Response Center (EOC) of the Ministry of Health and Welfare won the “Solidarity and Collaboration” award for holding the “Toxic Chemical Disaster Drill”.
Awarded second place promotion of the “Purple Coneflower Movement” by the Southern Military Court of the Ministry of National Defense.
Awarded as an outstanding unit in the comprehensive evaluation of the “Military Ammunition Management Supervision and Examination Implementation Plan” by the Ministry of National Defense.
Awarded as the Outstanding Hospital for Colorectal and Breast Cancer Seasonal Screenings by the Taichung City Cancer Prevention and Treatment Committee.
Awarded the Silver Award for “2012 Smoke-Free Certification Outstanding Unit” by the National Health Administration.
Established a dedicated outpatient chemotherapy care section with a “Warm, New, Art” concept, awarded the “National Quality Label”.

2014

Honored to receive the “Outstanding Unit for Recruiting Military Personnel (Inspection Hospital)” award from the Executive Yuan.
Awarded first place in the “Outstanding Unit for Legal Education, Appeals, National Compensation Supervision” by the Ministry of National Defense Legal Affairs Bureau.
The Zhongqing Branch Hospital signed a “Medical Cooperation” agreement with Taichung Veterans General Hospital.
Honored as a member of the World Health Organization (WHO) Health Promoting Hospitals network, and awarded the title “WHO Health Promoting Hospital”.
Honored with the award for “Intermediate Emergency Medical Care Responsibility Hospital” and “Capable of Severe Level of Acute Coronary Syndrome” by the Ministry of Health and Welfare.

2015

Awarded the Excellent Award in “Radiation Safety and Quality Assurance Operations for Medical Institutions” by the Atomic Energy Council of the Executive Yuan.
Recognized as an outstanding unit in the “Implementation Plan for Military Ammunition Management and Inspection” by the Ministry of National Defense.
The nursing home received an outstanding rating in the “Home Supervision and Inspection Assessment” by the Ministry of Health and Welfare.
The Zhongqing Branch Hospital was assessed as a “Qualified Hospital (Regional Hospital)” in the “Hospital Evaluation and Teaching Hospital Evaluation” by the Ministry of Health and Welfare.

2016

Newly installed SPECT/CT scanner, which is of the same level as that of the medical center, in the Department of Nuclear Medicine.
Awarded the “Promotion Excellence Award” in the Medical Shared Decision-Making Response Activity by the National Health Insurance Administration.

2017

Signed a medical preferential agreement with the General Welfare Service of the Ministry of National Defense.
A Spanish physician specializing in new lung cancer surgery techniques visited Taiwan for exchange.
Director of Nursing, Chung-Hsien Lo, awarded the “National Model Worker” in honor of the May 1st Labor Day.
Ranked second in the “Volunteer Quality Improvement Plan – Medical Group” organized by the Taichung City Health Bureau.
Signed a memorandum of cooperation with National United University to establish an industry-academia alliance.
Nursing Department awarded the “Excellent Nursing Personnel of Taichung City”, including Supervisor Jia-Di, Shu-Hua Nurse, and Hong-Yao Nurse.
Nursing Department awarded the “Outstanding Nursing Personnel of the Ministry of National Defense”, including Director Jia-Wen, Shu-Hua, and Nurses Mei-Xiu and Xin-Yi.

Held a signing ceremony for educational and industry cooperation with Donghai University.
