Date:2022-01-21

On January 21, the Central Epidemic Command Center (CECC) announced that a 16th batch of 994,500 doses of the Pfizer-BioNTech (BNT) vaccine donated by Semiconductor Manufacturing Co., Ltd., (TSMC), Hon Hai Precision Industry Co., Ltd., and Yonglin Charity Foundation, and Buddhist Tzu Chi Charity Foundation arrived at Taoyuan International Airport this morning. The vaccine doses will be shipped to designated cold storage and logistics centers for the subsequent testing and lot release procedures after customs clearance. This batch of vaccine doses will be distributed and offered to the public according to the CECC’s plan.

The CECC once again expresses its deep gratitude to TSMC, Hon Hai Yonglin, and Tzu Chi for their efforts that have provided more vaccines to the public, which will boost Taiwan’s vaccination coverage.
